The DB9 D-SUB 9-pin male adapter breakout board is designed for simple, reliable connections in both prototyping and permanent installations. All nine pins of the DB9 connector are routed to clearly labeled screw terminal blocks, enabling quick and secure wiring without soldering.
Product Description
This low-profile DB9 adapter/breakout board provides an efficient interface for RS-232 serial ports, I/O cards, and other devices using a DB9 connector. Its compact footprint is only slightly wider than the connector itself, making it ideal for tightly spaced installations. The board can be mounted directly to equipment without the need for extension cables.
Two versions are available:

Male DB9 with captive screws for use with a mating connector that already has screwlock/jack screws fitted

Female DB9 with screwlock/jack screws for mounting the adapter board to a wall box or panel with a DB9 cut-out
Captive screws are male #4-40 UNC screws extending from the connector face to allow direct mating with connectors that use jack screws. Screwlock/jack screws are hex standoffs threaded for #4-40 UNC screws, commonly used for cable connections with thumbscrews or for panel and wall-plate mounting.
